摘要 辣木为原产印度北部亚喜马拉雅山区速生树种,耐旱力强,喜生于砂壤土。非洲、阿拉伯地区、东南亚、太平洋和南美洲的许多国家都有较长的种植历史。植株的每个部位都有利用价值,成为原产地人们日常生活中不可或缺的多用途树种。本文简要介绍了辣木的生物学特性和引种栽培试验研究初步结果,以及辣木在医药、商业、营养保健及水处理等方面的利用情况。 Horseradis (Moringa sp.) is a fast growing tree adapted to arid, sandy conditions. The Horseradis is native to the sub-Himalayan regions of northwest India but have been widely grown in many countries in Africa, Arabia, Southeast Asia, the pacific and Caribbean islands and South America. Virtually the tree is beneficial in every part in some way and is of great importance in the areas where people depend upon it directly for their livelihood. The biological characteristics, introduction and trial planting, the medicinal, water purifying and nutritional functions, commercial use and other purposes of horseradish were presented.
