The relationship of VEGF and astrocytomas

目的探讨血管内皮生长因子VEGF与星形细胞瘤的关系。方法本实验运用免疫组化技术S-P法检测59例星形细胞瘤组织中的VEGF表达情况,并分析它与星形细胞瘤组织的病理分级间的关系。结果III级以上的星形细胞瘤组织中VEGF表达显著高于I级、II级星形细胞瘤组织(P<0.05)。结论血管内皮生长因子VEGF对星形细胞瘤组织生长有促进作用,可作为反映其生物学行为的指标之一。

Objective To investigate the relationship of VEGF and astrocytomas. Methods The expression of VEGF in 59 cases of astrocytomas were studied by S-P immunohisochemistry. Results The expression of VEGF was in according with the increasing grade of astrocytoma malignancy (P<0.05). Conclusion VEGF play an important role in the biological behavior of astrocytomas.
