German Romanticism was an important genre of German literature and esthetics in the 18th century. The forepart of romanticism was Jena genre, and the anaphase of romanticism was Heidelberg genre. The esthetics of romanticism of Jena genre was more influential than that of Heidelberg genre, as it had produced a series of esthetical principles for the esthetics of romanticism. They were the principles of poeticization and religionization; advocating unreason and unconsciousness and the saying of irony and all kinds of poetry.
