Constructing a Combination of Learning, Rationality and Emotion-Tai Jingnong's artistic individuality of creating prose

台静农写作散文从1925年开始,以1946年为界,具有一贯的文心气格,即以深厚广博的学识为根底,在探求其特定人文精神的过程中融入了他悲悯的情感,是作家学、理、情的有机融合。但台静农的散文在前后期也呈现出不同的审美风格:前期情采飞动,多有丽辞佳句;后期笔法归于平淡,境界已臻炉火纯青。

Tai Jingnong started his prose writing in 1925. Taking the year of 1946 as the line of demarcation, his writing can be divided into two parts. His creation in each period, though demonstrates different features, keeps a consistent style of probing into the humanity spirit combined with his compassionate emotion based on his extensive learning. It is an organic integration of leaning, rationality and emotion. As for the changes between the first & second parts of his artistic creation, he presents different aesthetic styles: It, previously full of enthusiasm and gorgeous language,changes into a plainer and simpler style, while the realm of thought reaches high perfection.
