摘要
对2001年元月已通过全国大学英语四级考试的非英语专业的部分学生进行语用能力测试,并且对两种测试进行相关性的研究,发现这些学生的语用能力测试成绩和四级考试成绩之间的相关性较低,证明学生的语用能力在四级英语考试中没有受到充分的重视.对学生在语用能力测试中的语用失误进行了简要的分析.就如何在大学英语测试中加强语用能力的测试提出了一些具体的建议.
Pragmatic competence is one of the important components of communicative competence. The paper presents a study on pragmatic competence of the non-English major students who passed CET4 in January, 2001. The correlation study of the two tests indicates that there is a low correlation between the scores on CET, and those on the pragmatic competence test, which shows that students' pragmatic competence is not sufficiently reflected on CET4,. The paper then makes a brief analysis of the pragmatic failure made by the students on the pragmatic competence test. Finally, some suggestions are offered on how to test students' pragmatic competence in College English tests.
