Aesthetic Criticism Thought in "The Continuation of Theories on Calligraphy" of JIANG Kui

姜夔的《续书谱》从道德批评转为美学批评,薄唐人法度而尚魏晋之风,并形成一系列与之相辅的切实简明、深契事理而又灵动辩证的理论,在宋代书论史上承上启下,真正树立起"宋人尚意"的里程碑。

JIANG Kui was a famous literarian, musician and calligrapher in the South Song Dynasty who wrote 'The Continuation of Theories on calligraphy' which stressed aesthetic criticism instead of ethic criticism and contained a series of concise but flexible and dialectical theories on calligraphy, therefore, formed a link between what came before and what went after in calligraphic theories of the Song Dynasty.
