The paper reviews of the role of higher vocational education played and a shift of the guideline of higher education from the production relations-oriented to the productive force-oriented, and illustrates that 搕o develop the advanced productive force?is the guideline for the higher vocational education in China in the 21st century. At last, introduces eight points that calls for improvement in the research on higher vocational education reform under the guide of advanced productive force.
