CEO的出现,是公司治理体制的重大变革。CEO制度是对公司董事会与经营层功能的重新定位。CEO是决策层与执行层的有机结合点。CEO的出现有效地解决了决策层与执行层的断裂,增强了企业的决策和执行能力,既提高了工作效率,又降低了管理成本,适应了知识经济时代企业发展的需要。CEO制度在发展中也出现了一些问题。但这不能改变CEO制度的重要作用。

CEO system strengthens the policymaking and its implementation in enterprises, improving the efficiency and cutting the cost. CEO system keeps in line with the development of modern enterprises in spite of some problems in the process of its maturity.
