摘要
理解、研究罗伯特·弗罗斯特的关键 ,是他自己极力推崇的“游戏”原则。该原则可以概括为三个方面的内容 :第一 ,游戏的前提是 ,必须要有对立的双方 ;第二 ,游戏的策略类似暗喻 ,“以此指彼 ,以彼名唤此物 ,全在隐晦之乐” ;第三 ,游戏必须具有真实性。“游戏”原则是贯穿弗氏诗歌创作及其生存哲学的基本结构 ,其中所体现的类比思维模式和所达到的含蓄美的效果 ,正是弗氏诗歌现代性的一个重要特征。
One of the essentials in understanding and studying Robert Frost is the notion of “play” which can be summarized as follows. First, play must deal with two opposing sides. Second, play is like a metaphor, “saying one thing and meaning another, saying one thing in terms of another, the pleasure of ulteriority.” Third, play has got to be as playful as possible. The notion of “play” is a corner stone of both Frost's poetic art and his existential art. As demonstrated in the notion of “play”, the analogical thinking pattern, together with its aesthetic effect of indirectness, is an important feature of modernity of Frost's poetry.
