从语义连贯角度谈如何提高英语专业学生的写作能力 被引量:41

摘要 连贯是语篇的重要特征。要使语篇具备连贯性,就必须依赖一定的语义衔接手段。英语专业学生的作文中明显存在衔接手段使用不当的问题。为了增强学生英语作文中的连贯性,进而提高其写作能力,应在教学中加强在运用照应、替代、省略、逻辑联系语和词汇衔接等衔接手段方面的训练。 Coherence, one of the key concepts in text analysis, is fundamentally based on semantic ties, i. e., the use of such cohesive ties as reference, substitution and ellipsis, logical conjunctions and lexical cohesion. A careful study of English majors' compositions shows that these students are not good at making use of such devices, which leads to incoherence in their paragraphs and essays. According to the author, after a systematic training and practice, students can be expected to improve their writing ability with the help of cohesive devices.
