英汉拟声词的语义转移

Sense Transfer of Onomatopoeic Wordsin English and Chinese

拟声，不仅作为一种修辞手段，而且作为一种指称手段在事物命名及语义转换过程中起着重要作用。用作名词，拟声词可以转指发声体，也可以转指其他相关事物；用作动词、形容词或副词等，同样可以见到各种各样的语义转移。本文研究拟声的语义功能，例词采自英语和汉语，主要目的不在对比研究，而是为了论证这一语言现象的普遍性。

Not only as a rhetorical device, but as a referential device onomatopoeia plays an important role in naming and sense transfer. As a noum an onomatopoeic word may transfer and refer to the sound source object, or something else related to the sound, and various sense transfers can also be seen of the onomatopoeic word as a verb, an adjective or an adverb etc. In this paper a research is made on the semantic function of onomatopoeia, with examples words from English and Chinese mainly not for the contrastive study but for the proof of the linguistic universal in this respect.
