二十一世纪是知识经济时代。知识经济是和农业经济，工业经济相对应的一个概念，是当今世界上一种新型的、富有生命力的经济，是人类社会进入信息时代所出现的一种经济形态。本文从知识经济概念的提出、知识经济内涵以及知识经济特征三个方面阐述了知识经济。这对我国社会主义现代化建设，走向知识经济，实现可持续发展具有十分重要的理论和现实意义。

It is the age of knowledge economy in the 21th century.Knowledge economy is a conception that corresponds with agricultural economy and industrial economy.It is newest and the most active economy in the world. It is a new economical configuration in the age of computer and information. The article elucidates knowledge economy from three cardinal points-the conception of the knowledge economy, the connotation of knowledge economy and the character of the knowledge economy. It will instruct us in a certain extant how to walk up knowledge economy and achieve the durative development. Furthermore, it also has practical and theoratical meaning.
