在大型稀疏矩阵的线性方程组的高斯消去法中，遇到主元素为零或绝对值太小时，对主元素的修正方法进行了探讨，研究了如何恰当地把这种方法嵌入到高斯消去法中，得到的算法使得高斯消去法总是能稳定有效地求解。

Abstract In this paper, we discuss the main element modification method for large sparse matrix linear equations when the main element is zero in the process of Gauss elimination. Then show how to imbed properly this method into Gauss eliminations method so that Gauss elimination can be made stably and efficiently.
