我国高等教育大众化已进入了具体实施阶段 ,高等教育规模正逐年以较高比例扩大 ,教师队伍的数量和质量都将面临严峻的挑战。为确保高等教育大众化过程中的教育质量 ,必须特别关注高校师资问题。根据现代社会和科技发展的特点 ,有必要重新认识教师的职能 ,即把教师的中心工作转变到教给学生学习方法、培养学生动手能力和创新能力等方面上。可以通过扩大教师聘任范围。

s: In China, the scope of higher education is expanding rapidly year after year, mass higher education has developed into the implementation phase. Teachers are faced with severe challenges in terms of quantity and quality. To authentically guarantee the education quality in higher education massification, we must pay more attention to the teacher's quality and quantity. According to the development characteristics of modern society, technology and science, it is pointed out that teacher's functions should be reconsidered. Teacher should convert himself from a pure instructor in classroom to a multiple guide to improve students' gumption and creativity. In addition, several methods, including the broadening of appointment range, the strengthening of training and the building of rational scholastic system, etc., are suggested to build a teaching group to fit in with the needs of higher education massification.
