重新认识卡特福德翻译理论

本文探讨了卡特福德理论中关于“意义是无法从一种语言转移到另一种语言中去”的重要观点。文章认为 ,卡氏的这个观点对于翻译实践有着直接的指导作用 ,但却一直没有引起国内学界足够的重视。文章提出 ,应该注意引进与传统观点不太一致的国外翻译理论 ,唯此才能推动中国翻译研究向前发展。

This paper expounds an important statement of J.C.Catford's that meaning cannot be transferred from one language to another. According to the author, this statement can provide valuable guidance to translators, but it has been largely ignored in China. It is believed that only by introducing theories that are dissimilar to the traditional Chinese theories can translation studies in China move forward.
