The method,which permits graph and characters to be displayed in same screen by using FORTRAN,is an advanced display approach.Three methods based on BASIC,AUTO- CAD and FORTRAN for realizing this technique are compared.Meanwhile,the applied method of FORTRAN graphic base,approach of enter and quit,and preliminary drawing method using FORTRAN are introduced.The emphasis is laid on the key techniques including graphic moded, graphic coordinate,line and graphic colour.
