恭维语的跨文化对比研究

A comparative study of compliments:a cross cultural perspective ——An experimental report of peer reviews from a normal university in China

依据实验调查对汉语恭维行为的表达方式做了跨语言对比分析 ,验证Johnson和Roen的发现结论是否适用于汉语。分析的语篇材料主要限定在同学相互间的评论 (peerreview) ,对其中出现的恭维语进行研究。笔者把实验结果与Johnson和Roen的实验结果做比较 ,发现二者具有很大的相似性 ,同时又发现一些恭维语在汉语中的特色体现。

A comparative study of written compliments in a Chinese context is made to test for the findings of Johnson and Roen's experiments. A database is set up which includes 64 pear reviews written by sophomores of Chinese Department from a normal university. It is found that women made greater use of more positive evaluative terms, complimenting intensifiers and personal references than men in written compliments analyzed. Moreover, women writers accommodate to the gender of women addressees more often than men writers, resulting in a gender specific female female complimenting style.
