By an analysis of socialist market economy and development of physical education,this article explicates the aim and task of college physical education that must be adapted to the development of socialist market economy based on the further understanding of physical education as a prerequisite.According to the characteristics and trend of college physical education,the article also gives suggestions to the reform of physical education in colleges to advance the development of college physical education.
