地理信息系统要想发展 ,必须走开放式的道路 ,将分布式体系和面向对象的思想引入网络GIS系统 ,是地理信息系统发展的必然趋势。文中阐述了分布式对象的GIS的概念和设计思想 ,探讨了其网上实现的体系结构 ,对于GIS插件、智能化用户前端、三级客户 /服务器系统等重要问题进行了研究 。
