This paper presents an overview of the trends in power semiconductor development over the past decade in order to keep up with the power demands of the electronic appliances that are utilized in every day life. The market expansion especially in computing and commution devices has driven power semiconductor developers. Including fairchild, to develop technologies targeted for these applications.
