SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF A THERMOTROPIC AND NEMATIC LIQUID CRYSTAL MATERAIL

一定摩尔比的对甲氧基苯甲酰氯和对苯二酚钠在常温常压下反应,合成了双对甲氧基苯甲酸对苯二酚酯,并对其结构进行了元素分析和IR测试。用TG-DTA和偏光显微镜对其液晶性进行了表征。

This article introduces the synthesis and properties of Bis - ( 4 - methoxybenzoyl ) hydroquinone for the preparation of thermotropic and nematic liquid crystal materail.In this article,the synthetic Bis - (4 - methoxybenzoyl ) hydroquinone was synthsized from 4 -methoxybenzoyl chloride with hydroquinone. The synthetic was characterized by IR spectrometer and elemental analysis. Properties of this synthetic by TG -DTA and polarizing micrscope has shown that this synthetic is thermotropic and nematic liquid crystal materail.
