用甲醇和叔丁醇在稀硫酸催化下脱水得甲基叔丁基醚粗产物,经反复水洗后干燥,再经金属钠回流除去微量水分及甲醇后,蒸馏得到无醇甲基叔丁基醚。

Methyl tert-butyl ether was prepared by reaction methanol and tert-butanol under di-lute sulfuric acid. The product, crude ether was washed with water, dried. The moisture and slight methanoi were removed with sodium reflux. The final non - alcoholic methyl tert-butyl ether was obtained by distillation.
