Factors Affecting China's Regional Gap:An Empirical Study

本文通过计算基尼系数、变异系数、塞尔指标描述了区域差距变动状况 ;根据指标所显示的区域差距发展阶段性 ,利用四因素的区域差距影响因素框架 ,分阶段研究了不同时期区域差距形成过程中起主导作用的影响因素 ;影响区域差距的四因素分别是 :投入要素的量和质 ;要素配置效率、要素使用效率、空间格局变动 ,在不同时期 ,这四种因素的重要性各不相同。

With significant changes in China's economic situation since the reform, interregional gaps have been a real and unavoidable problem. We employ the Gini coefficient, variation coefficient and Theil Index to describe these gaps. These indicators show that regional gaps develop in stages. In a four-factor framework, we analyze the determining factors that affect regional gaps in each stage. The four factors include: the quantity and quality of investment elements, their allocation and usage efficiency, and changes in space. The importance of each varies from stage to stage.
