匆忙快速浏览与耽溺痴迷于这种浏览 ,是现代阅读时间悖论性结构 ,也是现代文化时尚化、肤浅化、快餐化、图像化的深层结构。这一结构植根于进步主义的现代性历史观与竞争性的社会必要劳动时间。现代性分裂为对立而互补的工作心态与娱乐心态 ,与之对应的现代性阅读时间悖论代表着现代文化在厌倦与骛奇之间的恶性循环 ,并成为现代意义危机的症候。网络漫游瘁死悲剧的警示是 :现代阅读时间应内化为展示文本深度的历程 ,它同时意味着人对待事物的新型伦理态度。

Fast reading and its indulgence are not only the paradoxical structure of modern reading-time, but also the deep structure of the fashionalization, superficialization, fast consumption and pictorialization of modern culture, which are deeply rooted in the progressivistic view of modern history and in the working time necessary for social competition. Modernity has been split into two contradictory but complementary moods: the working and the entertaining, correspondent with which is the paradox of modern reading-time that makes modern culture fall into the meaningless cycle of struggles between boredom and curiosity, symptomatic of the modern crisis of meaning. Death tragedies caused by overworking on Internet browsing have given us a warning that modern reading-time should be internalized as a gradual revelation of the depth of a text which will give rise to a new ethical attitude of man towards the world.
