Resemblance and Differences: the English School and Constructivism

注重国际社会理论的英国学派和倡导运用社会学方法研究国际关系的建构主义有着显而易见的相通之处。但通过对双方理论内容、方法特色以及对国际关系之展望等三个方面的比较分析 ,可以看出两者的不同点多于相同点 ,而其差异源于美英两国国际关系理论界的根本差别。

There are apparently resemblances between the English School and Constructivism, with one emphasizing on the theory of International Society and the other applying the methodology of Sociology into the studiesof international relations. However, by detailed comparison betweenthe two theories, methodologiesand views on the future of international relations, the author suggeststhat they have moredifferences than similarities. In fact, their differences arise from the discrepancy between the academia of international relations in America and Britain.
