摘要
本文讨论生成语法理论在英语教学中的应用。作者认为,虽然生成语法研究不是以外语教学为直接目的,但生成语法理论的一些原则及研究成果可以应用到日常的外语教学活动中,可以从一个新的视角分析学生常犯的语法错误。本文主要分析了生成语法的约束理论,格理论,D结构和S结构的概念及生成语法的发展给英语教学带来的启示。
This paper discusses how the theory of generative grammar can be used in English teaching. The author holds that although generative grammar does not set language teaching as its goal of inquiry, certain theories and principles could be used in classroom teaching. Grammatical mistakes frequently made by learners of English could be analyzed from a new perspective. The theories concerned in this paper are Binding Theory and Case Theory. The latest development of generative grammar is also discussed.
