An Analysis of the Reasons for the Dissolution of Strategic Alliance of Enterprises

The strategic alliance will be dissolved sooner or later. This paper firstly analyzes the main reasons from the agreement re-negotiation, the changes of the expected revenue, and the transformation of the information structure. Then, three aspects, namely, strategy adjustment, the instability of the structure, and the poor management, are discussed. The occurrence of any of the three situations forebodes the dissolution of the strategic alliance. However, the dissolution does not always mean failure. Finally, the paper tackles some problems involving the assurance of a sound running of the strategic alliance.
