二十面体病毒衣壳自组装的热力学参数

摘要 球状病毒衣壳采用二十面体对称。本文就二十面体病毒蛋白质骨架的自组装提出一个统计热力学模型。统计结果 表明病毒衣壳二十面体对称不是自由能最小化的结果,而是衣壳内部蛋白结构参数最优化的结果。 The capsids of nearly all spherical viruses adopt icosahedral symmetry. In this article, we propose a statistical thermodynamic model for viral protein shell self-assembly. Our results indicate that icosahedral symmetry is not ageneric consequence of free energy minimization but requires optimization of internal structural parameters of the capsid proteins.
