魏晋是一乱世,数不尽的天灾人祸纷至沓来,将人们抛掷在生死线上煎熬、挣扎。然而,面对着无数灾难的折磨、蹂躏,魏晋的士人并没有丧失生存的勇气,他们直面惨淡的人生,于俗世红尘中建构精神的家园,于山水自然、日常生活里获取人生的超越,努力将我国传统思想文化的主流维系在理性的层面。
In the extremely bitter and dangerous social circumstance, the scholars of Bamboo Wood, such as Ji Kang and Ruan Ji, excluded the existence of another world (Heaven), constructing the tran- scendence of life in this world. They explored a colorful spiritual field in the secular life, brought light and hope to the lives surviving in the dark and cruel society, and opened a wide space for the transcendence of life in this world. In the Eastern Jin dynast, Zhang Zhan devoted his attention to humans themselves, illuminating that the transcendence of life was a free psychological activity. He found a solid foundation for the transcendence of life through the penetrating studies of 'Heart'. At the same time, some other scholars of the Eastern Jin dynasty, like Tao Yuanming, linked the transcendence of life with natural landscape and daily life by revealing and comprehending the beauty of nature and rural scenery, and firmly built the spiritual field in this world. Thus, in the age when Daoism religion and Buddhism were prosperous, the intellectual mainstream of Chinese culture was still rational.
