Human convergence is one of the fundamental regulations of human activities, and it coincides with the sequence of civilization progress, so it should be regarded as a concept corresponding with human evolution. The authors make an effort to draw the essential factors of human convergence from the complicated course of history, such as its motivation, ties, models and the relativity between human convergence and human dispersion, which helps the authors find a way to discuss the interrelationship between human convergence and civilization progress. Further on, while inspecting urbanization and globalization, the paper opens up the promotions and challenges given to modern civilization by a high-density and large-scale society brought about by the acceleration of human convergence.
