Now that China has joined the WTO, competition will also be keener on the market for fruit juices. To further improve its market position and keep up with the trend towards modem drinks packaging, some enterprises have set up new PET packaging lines at three production locations. DEG financed the company's adoption of the PET filling technology with a long-term loan. Financing competitive processors in the food sector is a DEG priority in developing and transition countries.
