ADVANCE OF TECHNOLOGY AND EXPLOITATION AND UTILIZATION OF INFORMATION RESOURCES

本文概述了现代科学技术的发展对社会信息交流形式的影响,着重说明了信息资源的存储方式由印刷文献向多种类型存储介质发展趋势,根据这一趋势,提出在认识方面,要使情报工作从“供其所求”向“供其所需”的方向过渡,加强农业信息资源和系统的宏观研究和服务指导。在实践方面,扩大图书情报机构协作的范围,要重视二次文献的生产,强调情报工作要加强媒介作用,促进研究工作人员之间的个人交流。

This paper describes the effect of the development of modern science and technology on the exchange mode of social information, with emphasis on the trend that the storage mode of information resources is transforming from the printed documentation into deverse media. In line with this trend, it is suggested from the cognition point of view that provision of information should be shifted from the principle of “meeting the demand” into the principle of “meeting the requirements”. It is therefore impera- tive to strengthen the macro studies on the agricultural information resou- rces and systems and improve service and guidance in this field. In practice, it is imperative to expand the coordination between libraries and information institutions, lay emphasis on the publication of the secondary documenta- tions, stress the role of information as media and promote the personal exchange between research fellows.
