颜元是清代重要的思想家和教育家 ,他针对理学的空谈义理进行了有力的批判 ,主张从实际来判断认识 ;他尊重人性 ,提倡实行、实学 ,重视培养德才兼备的实用人才 ,反对脱离实际的学究式教育。他的思想不仅在清代有巨大影响 ,而且对现代社会也有着很好的借鉴作用 ,值得我们去深入研究。

Yan Yuan is a significant educationalist and a great thinker of the Qing Dynasty. He severely criticizesthe pedantic conceptions, but claims the pragmatic education. His positive attitudes towards humanity, practices, and real learning do not only have substantial influences in the Qing Dynasty, but to the present as well.
