On Teaching Methods of English Language in Improving Students' Reading Ability

在有限的课堂教学时间内提高学生阅读能力乃教学中的当务之急。文章就教学方式与培养学生理解能力的关系提出几点思考：阅读与精度的结合、重视多义词、难句等讲解、重视文化背景、注重测试教学方法在教学中的运用、掌握阅读应试技巧。

There has been an increasingly urgent need in our English teaching to improve students' reading ability in our cherished classroom teaching time. In this paper, several points of reflection are presented on the relationship between teaching methods and the training of students' reading ability, including the combination of reading and intense reading, the stress on the instruction of polysemes and involved sentences, the introduction of cultural background, the importance of the employment of tests in the teaching process.
