On the Relationship between the Important Ideology of "Three Represents" and Deng Xiaoping Theory

"三个代表"重要思想与邓小平理论一脉相承,都是马克思主义在中国发展的最新成果。它们都统一于中国特色社会主义事业之中。邓小平理论着重解决了中国特色社会主义的客体问题,是上篇。"三个代表"重要思想则着重解决了中国特色社会主义的主体问题,是下篇。它们这样的关系定位必然成为建设中国特色社会主义的理论指南,成为全党和全国人民凝聚的思想理论基础。

The important ideology of 'Three Represents' and Deng Xiaoping Theory share the same origin. Both of them are the latest achievements of the development of Marxist in China and both are integrated in the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics. Deng Xiaoping Theory mainly solves the problem concerning the object of the socialism with Chinese characteristics, and it is the preceding chapter, while the important ideology of 'Three Represents' chiefly solves the problem concerning the subject of the socialism with Chinese characteristics, it is the following chapter. Such a relationship between the two enables them to be the theoretical guide to the building of the socialism with Chinese characteristics and the ideological and theoretical basis on which all the Party members and the Chinese people make their efforts jointly.
