The article introduces the general situation of the supply & demand of synthetic resins both home and abroad. The growth of the consumption of synthetic resins both in the world and China has been faster than the growth of GDP. It also summarizes the development trends of polyolefin industry in the following aspects; the expansion of manufacturing plants, catalysts, process, products and how to deal with the requirements of the environment and end users.
