On Lin Yutang’s Religious View

林语堂是中国现代文学史上的重要人物 ,宗教观是其思想的重要方面。理性主义、开放和多元是林语堂宗教观的基本特色 ,这个基本特色体现在他对儒家、道家及佛教的评述 ,对宗教与科学关系的论述 ,对基督教“博爱”思想的推崇 ,以及对宗教中教条主义的批判等方面。

Lin Yutang is an important figure in Chinese modern literature history, whose religious view is an important part of his thought. Realism, opening and many entity are among the characteristics of his religious view, which are embodied in his comments on Confucianism , Daoism , and Buddhism , his view of religion and science, his canonization for Christianity’s universal love, as well as in his criticism on religious doctrinairism.
