A Commentary Review on Chen Guangfu

陈光甫是中国现代著名的金融家、企业家和社会活动家。他一生的主要业绩是:创办现代中国经营最成功的银行———上海商业储蓄银行和现代中国最大的旅游企业———中国旅行社。他确立了服务社会、诚信为本的企业经营理念和先进的企业管理方法,并在抗日战争中赴美借款、在内战爆发后呼吁和平等社会活动中发挥了一定的历史作用,是值得我们关注与纪念的一位重要历史人物。

Chen Guangfu is a weell-known financier, entrepreneur and social activist in modern China. His life-long achievements include Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank, which is the most successfully-managed bank in China, and China Travel Agency, which is the biggest tourism enterprise in China. Meanwhile he also established his advanced enterprise management concepts and methods. What's more he has played a very important role in modern Chinese history by his social activities such as going to the USA for the loan in the Anti-Japanese War, and publicly appealing for peace after the Chinese Civil War broke out. Chen Guangfu is an important historical figure who is worth people's attention and commemoration.
