中国人力资本和教育发展的区域差异:对于面板数据的估算

Regional Differences of Human Capitals and Education Development in China: An Estimation of the Panel Data

本文基于已有的数据,估算了缺失年份的数据,从而形成了1987～2001年各地区完整的教育发展的面板数据,这项工作为进一步开展区域经济的经验研究提供了基础。我们发现,中国各省的教育发展水平不平衡,特别是受过高等教育的人口比重仍然存在着较大的差距。近年来各地的高等教育人口比重呈现收敛的趋势,高等教育的持续平衡发展将有助于缩小地区间收入差距。

Based on the existing data, this paper estimated the missing data and completed the panel of regional education development during 1987~2001. This study is useful for related empirical studies on regional economic development. We also find that regional disparity exists in education development, especially the percentage of population with higher education. In recent years, there is a converging trend of the percentage of population with higher education, which will help to reduce regional income disparity.
