The Impacts of FDI on China’s Real Wage Level

摘要本文利用中国1985～2001年的数据,从部门的角度对FDI对中国实际工资水平的影响进行了经验研究,发现劳动生产率是实际工资最重要的解释变量,对实际工资有正的效应,而FDI对东道国实际工资水平有正效应这一被普遍认同的结论在中国只有在1997年以后才适用,并且FDI这种效应主要通过劳动生产率间接地实现。同时,FDI份额对实际工资的影响比贸易依存度对实际工资的影响小,而中国产业结构调整有助于提高中国实际工资水平。本文最后提出了一些相关的政策建议。 In this paper,we use data from China between 1985~2001 to study the effect of FDI on real wages in different sectors. We find that productivity has positive effects on real wages. We also conclude that only after 1997, dose FDI have positive effect on real wages,while it has negative effect on real wages before 1997. Furthermore,FDI affects real wages through productivity indirectly. Meanwhile,we also find that the effect of FDI is smaller than that of degree of trading dependence, and industrial structure adjustment makes contribution to real wages in China.
