昆明西山纤恙螨一新种(真螨目:恙螨科)

A NEW SPECIES OF LEPTOTRO MBIDIU M (ACARIFORMES: TROMBICULIDAE) FROM MT. XISHAN, KUNMING

1958年在昆明西山采得1种恙螨,经鉴定系1新种,定名为昆西纤恙螨,标本保存在昆明军事医学研究所。昆西纤恙螨Leptotrombidlum(L.)kunxi Xiang et Wen,新种(图1-6) 标本:正模、幼虫,昆明西山,海拔2110m,1958-Ⅸ-26,向容炯、陈祖武采,宿主为普通树鼩中华亚种Tupaia glis chinenis,寄生在肛门周围。 鉴别:本新种与纤恙螨属的Leptotrombidium(L.)pesudofulmentum V.-G.

A new species of chigger mite belonging to the genus Leptotrombidium is described as Leptotrombidium kunxi, sp. nov.Holotype, larva ex Tupaia glis chinensis at perianal region, from Mt. Xishan, Kunming, 2110m, 26- IX -1958, Xiang Rongjiong and Chen Zhuwu coll., deposited in the Army Military Medical Research Institute, Kunming, Yunnan.Description of the new species: see text.N.B. The name of this new species is derived phonetically from two Chinese characters. 'Kun' is the shortened name of Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province; 'xi' is the west, which denotes Mt. Xishan, west of K unming.
