Coupled-mode Analysis of Tapered Dielectrie Optical Waveguides

由麦克斯韦方程导出了缓变折射率多波导的本地耦合模方程,得到了两缓变折射率光波导耦合模方程具有普遍意义的解析解。并指出了以往近似结果的局限性。

A local-mode coupled equation for tapered dielectric waveguides is derived from Maxwell's equation. The accurate and analytical expressions for the two dielectric waveguides with the different propagation constants are firstly provided. The limit of approximate results developed befere is discussed.
