Several common-color - characteristics searching have been narrated in detail. And the relevant n ewest research with color content is briefly introduced. We have considered thre e important respects while designing the content of the image;choosing t he suitable color quantization scheme,so as to try one's best to reduce t he dimension of the characteristic and improve the quality of searching; choosin g the corresponding distance function.
