The service life of No. 2 mixer furnace at No. 1 Steel Plant WISCO(13oo tonne eapacity) has been doubled, upto 772 days of service by implementing a series of new techniques and practical measures such as combined brickworking bottom with clay brick and Mg brick above the ramming layer, high alumina brick lined furnace top, gunned repair and furnace temperature control automation.
