The tomb is a single-chambered brick one with a domed roof led to by a tomb passage and tunnel.The funerary objects include epitaphs,human and animal figurines made for mortuary purpose.The are unglazed ceramics,with colored clothing designs directly painted on the fired body.The beautifully executˉed designs in fresh colors show a lot of foreign influence.Discovery of porcelain figures of the Tang Dynasty in Shanxi has never been reported before.The epitaph written in red on a square brick reveals that the tomb owner was a low-ranking official,who died in the third year of the Yonghui reign period.The tomb is the earliest Tang dynasty one ever found in the area of Shanxi.
