摘要
简要介绍了机器翻译及其发展历史,从词义选择、短语识别、歧义消解、句法结构处理、文化因素等方面分析了机器翻译存在的问题。进而提出机器翻译必须与人工翻译相结合才能译出好的作品;机器翻译软件的改进必须有翻译家和语言学家等专业人员的参与,才能开发出更加人性化的机器翻译软件。
This paper has made an analysis about MT problems with regard of the following aspects after introducing briefly the machine translation and its history: the choice of lexical meaning, phrase identification, disambiguation, syntactic disposition and culture. It also points out that machine translation must be combined with human translation and more humanistic MT software can be developed only when translators and linguists are involved.
