章太炎文学观的学术背景

处在转型时期的晚清文人,在近代以来的中国文坛具有举足轻重的地位,而章太炎则是晚清一代文人中颇有代表性的一位。作为晚清著名的学者,其"小学"修养尤见工力,堪称一绝;同时章太炎的文章写作也往往为专家学者视为模范,更不用说其早期波澜壮阔气势如虹的政论文字。在"西学东渐"的大背景下,着重从章太炎的学术渊源入手,对其文学观的形成做一次探本推源的梳理,可见"古文经学"的学术背景对章太炎一生的言行处世具有决定性的影响,而章太炎独特的地方则在于他超越历来的古、今文经学之争,提出"知本达用"的新理念。他对文学的看法自然也与这一学术思想密切相关。

Zhang Taiyan, an important literate of the late Qing dynasty, played a crucial role in Chinese literary world. As a very famous scholar, he made great achievements in the Palaeography. At the same time, Mr. Zhang's articles, including his early critical papers on politics, were appreciated and regarded as the models by the coeval. This thesis will try to analyze deeply his thought of literature against the background of westernization in China at that time, and focus on his resources of learning·In fact, the disciplining background of 'Guwenjingxue' greatly impacted his deeds and words in life. While, his distinguishing accomplishment was due to that he transcended the controversy between Guwenjingxue and Jinwenjingxue, and put forward the new idea Zhibendayong, which was knitted tightly with his thought of literature naturally.
