从某种意义上讲,司马迁也是位经济学家,他在《史记·货殖列传》中对自己的经济思想做了阐述。就消费思想而言,司马迁提倡自由的消费思想,在"黜奢崇俭"的古代社会独树一帜。司马迁这种消费思想的形成有合理性和必然性,但由于受社会生产力发展程度的影响,这种思想在一定时间内有所超前,也没有被统治者所采用。重温司马迁提倡自由的消费思想,有其重要意义。
