人民利益高于一切是毛泽东理论的一大显著特征。毛泽东同志以自己的模范行动倾其毕生精力实践了他全心全意为人民服务的思想。集中体现为:以符合人民利益作为决策的准则;以符合人民利益作为衡量政府工作得失的标准;以符合人民利益作为价值判断的标准;以符合人民利益作为个人行为活动的准则。毛泽东理论中的人民利益思想对当前全党和全国人民认真学习实践"三个代表"具有重要的现实意义。

One noticeable feature of Mao Zedong's Thoughts is that people's interest is the foremost. Mao himself, through his model action, implemented his idea of 'serving the people heart and soul'. It embodies as follows: 'meeting the people's interest' is the principle of policy - making, the criterion to evaluate governments' work, the criterion of value judgment and norm of individual activities. The idea of people's interest has important practical value for the current implementation of 'three represents'.
