大宇集团的盛衰反映了作为新兴工业国家的韩国在战后、特别是在60年代以来实施的以出口战略为龙头，通过政府大力扶持，无限制地、盲目地进行“章鱼足式”扩张的经济发展历程。大宇的破产宣告了“大马不死”神话的破灭。韩国金融危机后，经济高速增长过程中的“高费用、低效益”的结构性弊端暴露无疑。韩国政府不得不把企业结构调整当做目前改革的重点，重振韩国经济。

Daewoo Group's development from prosperity to decline reflects the result of unlimited,blind expansion supported by the Korean government under the policy of export leading strategy after WWII and especially since the 60s as a newly industrialized country.Daewoo's bankruptcy declared that the myth of “immortal huge horse”disillusioned.After Korean financial economic crises,the structural drawback of high consuming,law profit revealed completely in the course of highly developed economy.To revitalize Korean economy,Korean government must lay great emphasis on restructural reform right now.
